  4. Yip Siao Lyn: S Lyn appreciates prayers for direction & resources in her outreach destination of Washington State, USA.
  5. Dan Lee Peng: 20/4/99 Our team spent a week here in Krasnoyarsk (capital of Siberia), sharing our faith with university students through drama, dance and testimonies. We've had warm fellowship with the Russian brothers and sisters in Christ here. It is amazing how God's love crosses all cultural barriers. We leave for a village called Boguchany tonight. The train ride will be 18 hours long. The team will be there for two weeks and will be hosted by several Russian Christian families. Please pray for us as we prepare to encourage the young Christians there who hunger for God and the fellowship of other Christians.
  6. Dan Fong Shin: In the last week of April, she will be taking some off-days. She asks us to pray for the family of a UM CF brother who drowned in Sarawak early this week. Pray for her as she interact with the other CF members most affected by his death. Praise God that even in the midst of shock & sadness at his passing away, many students remember him as one who lived his life for God and they are led to reflect on their own lives. In May, she will be continuing with her break and asks us to pray that she will use this time wisely.
  7. Non-Christians: Spouses of our sisters: Chan Chee Keong (Margaret), Chong Heng (Anne), Choong Pew Meng (Mary Choong), Mr Chee (Elsie). Parents: Mr & Mrs Ee (Yew Chuan parents), Mrs Chow (Desmond mother), Mr & Mrs Leong Poh Sun (Erwin parents), Mrs & Mrs Wong (Harry parents). Pray for James mother to have a forgiving heart for her husband.
  8. INDONESIA: In spite of all the violence, the Christian community is determined to be a witness for Christ in the middle of financial chaos, social upheaval, and violent persecution. Pray for endurance for our fellow Christians as they serve God in this turmoil in their own country.
  9. Le Tour di Melawati : MGC is organising a jogathon on May 29 (Saturday & public holiday). The purpose is for social concern and to encourage our members to reach out to their non-christian friends by inviting them to beneficial activities organised by the church. The target is 500 participants. Please pray for the police permit, permission from authorities, a school field for a starting/ending point, safety for everybody, suitable participants, good weather on that day and that Christianity is attractive to others.
  10. MGC Young People: Pray for those who can't make it to YP Sat Meeting - Joanne, Pang Kean, sisters Jamie & Trudy, Lavinia, Wen Eu and Jo Han. Pray for YP members studying overseas eg Aaron Sam (Scotland), Audrey Sam (NZ), Chong Chee Seong (England), Teoh Kel Lee & Lim Hui Ling (Aust), John Yeoh (US) & Leong Siaw May (S'pore). Pray for Aaron Sam who will be having exams in June and hopefully be back in Malaysia for his two-month elective from 24 July to 28 Sept 99. Pray also for Hui Ling as she considers serving in Youth for Christ during her 3-week holiday in May 99.
  11. Thanksgiving: (i) Dick Yap acknowledges Christ as his Saviour at the recent Eagles conference on 20 Mar 99 and also (ii) Mr Chin on 28 Mar 99. Pray that both will persevere as young Christians growing on to spiritual maturity.
