Special Prayers for medical patients

  1. Marie Low: Pray that she will enjoy good health as her condition has improved with the time period between the required blood transfusions lengthened from 3-4 to 7 weeks. She adds that the transfusion is for blood and not platelets since her platelet count has stabilised albeit at a very low reading of 4 to 6 instead of the normal 150. She in turn is helping two terminally sick girls to know Christ through her experience with her own sickness. She will be travelling to China on Sat 10 March for "de-ironing" of her own blood due to excess accumulation of iron.
  2. Lilian Anthony Boswell, 50: (Mrs Soo’s sister) Her sister is suffering from Lymphoma - cancer of the lymphatic system. She is married and has 1 son & 1 daughter. She is a Christian and physically active. The doctor gave her a span of two years to live. Apparently, she has accepted the situation well. Please pray for healing for her and that God will be gracious to her and to the family.
  1. Seok Wei, 22 (Chem YM’s niece) : She has been diagnosed with cancer of the ovary. She has just undergone her fourth chemotherapy in UH and scheduled to be back to work in May 2001.
  2. June Chai, 40+ (Chem’s sis-in-law) Thank God for her recovery from mental depression.
  3. OA Ministry: Pray for Vela, Robert Chew & Hor Suet Fun serving in the OA work during alternate weekends. Their prayer needs are that (a) 5 OA residents will be lead to Christ, (b) working of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of the OA believers, (c) volunteers will serve wholeheartedly and (d) more MGC volunteers will help out in the tuition and Sunday School classes (present attendance: 20 to 25 children).
  4. Telly & Mee Har : Praise the Lord that Mee Har delivered a baby boy on 17th March 2001 through siccioriant in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Wei Sheng was 8.6 pound and had a big head. His sister and brother love to have him around, all taking their turn to kiss and hold him. Pray for Mee Har for proper recovery from the operation. Pray for Telly to have wisdom and strength to handle the additional responsibilities, both at home and in the office.
  5. Voong Pang: Hyderabad, India: This is a very different world. Please continue to pray for the following: (1) Our main purpose to be here is the expansion of God's kingdom. Spoken with a Indian Muslim today at the airport. Able to build a good friendship and say words of blessing from God to him. Really, the thing that God had placed strongly into my heart here is to build relationships, even in evangelism and discipling. Met some Englishmen too and built friendships with them. (2) Keep the team away from other distractions like shopping and playing tourists, although in itself that is fine. But the kingdom is important.
  6. Non-Christians: Spouses of our sisters: Chan Chee Keong (Margaret), Chong Heng (Anne), Choong Pew Meng (Mary Choong), Mr Chee (Elsie), Col Goh (Connie), Alex (Yvonne). Parents: Mrs Chow (Desmond mother), Mr & Mrs Leong Poh Sun (Erwin parents), Mrs & Mrs Wong (Harry parents).
