Others: In Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, churches are multiplying rapidly, Stephen Steele of Discipling a Whole Nation, or DAWN, told Religion Today. "The Holy Spirit is moving ahead of the church, preparing hearts," Steele said. But the church needs to be prepared to reap the harvest. A strong church-planting movement needs unity, love for one another, and a vision to reach non-Christians with the gospel. Recognising that it takes many denominations to reach a country is important, but Christians "have to do more than just tolerate each other. They must demonstrate love for each other," he said. After unity and love are established they "get a vision that completing the task of world evangelism is within their reach." Christian values have more impact on society as churches grow. Police said crime fell by 60 percent in neighborhoods where churches have a strong presence.
