INDONESIA Political unrest in Indonesia isn't stopping the spread of the Gospel in that predominately Muslim country. Manmin World Mission's Johnny Kim says they just planted a church in Jakarta, which was a direct result their Korean conversation program. That program teaches the Korean language and the Gospel. He describes how the church got started. "There was an Indonesian brother called Rudy, who participated in Korean conversation class, sponsored by Manmin World Mission. After he returned from Indonesia, he formed a cell group of people and asked us to send a missionary." Kim says Manmin World Mission has a heart for Muslim people. "I'd like all the fellow Christians around the world to pray for us to win a lot of Muslim souls in Indonesia.". Pray for more Indonesian Christians to become involved in cross-cultural ministry within their own country.

THAILAND Pray for more church planters and training of local church leaders and full-time workers.

PHILIPPINES Pray that God will burden and send many to work in this part of His harvest field.

PAKISTAN Things were reported to be calm. The world is still watching, waiting for the next move by the General who seized power in a spontaneous coup this week. Although there is some tension, several mission organizations who are taking a 'wait and see' approach. Lane Powell of Operation Mobilization reported "I think any time there is any instability in any Muslim country, a lot of the believers are just watching very closely wondering what turn this will take, and whether they are going to be scrutinized more closely. Pray for safety and wisdom."
