Melawati Gospel Centre          Sunday Prayer Meeting                              August 1999

1. CHURCH

Sunday Worship Meeting; Our theme for August is God is self existent. (Isaiah 44 : 6)

1. Marie Low: Pray for her to as she continues to undergo treatment for aplastic anaemia. She is still working and finds it tough going – pray that she will enjoy good health as this will help her recover. In late June, she was hospitalised and required blood transfusion. Her next visit to her doctor in China is in Sept 99.
2. Mr Chin : Pray for him as he is undergoing treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.
3. Mr Leong (Kai Keong’s father) : His condition is still weak after the nose operation which stopped the bleeding. Pray also for KK’s mother as she feels weak and couldn’t move about freely.
4. Har Mun Moi : Pray for her as she at the cross-roads of career / home making.
5. Chong Mei Lin: Pray for her as she is involved in the following: Aug 7 - YP –MGC; Aug 21 - YP Methodist Church, Pudu; Aug 29 to 31 - Listening Prayer and Images Of God - Bukit Beruntung Church Camp.
6. Dan Fong Shin: In the past few months she has been challenged to taste and see that the Lord is good (Ps 34 : 8). In July, pray for her as she will be away in Korea for most of the entire month. 15/7 to 24/7: IFES Worls Assembly, Korea.    24/7 to 26/7: Marketplace workshop, Korea. Pray for her to be able to interact and learn to develop the SU's bible study training for the students during her stay there.
7. Yip Siao Lyn : Please pray for God's leading for her on her next step.
8. Har Voong Pang : Praise the Lord for his YWAM training in Perth 1999; he said he is very busy.
9. Non-Christians: Spouses of our sisters: Chan Chee Keong (Margaret), Chong Heng (Anne), Choong Pew Meng (Mary Choong), Mr Chee (Elsie). Parents: Mr & Mrs Ee (Yew Chuan parents), Mrs Chow (Desmond mother), Mr & Mrs Leong Poh Sun (Erwin parents), Mrs & Mrs Wong (Harry parents). Relatives: Mr & Mrs Ong Lye Hin (Ching Kut’s bro & sis in law), Mr & Mrs Peter Chin, Mr & Mrs Yap Ying Choy, Mr & Mrs Yap Kam Wah (Kam Hong & Jen Peng bros & sis in laws). MGC Young People: Pray for those who can't make it to YP Sat Meeting Pang Kean, Danny, Wy Leong, Meng Hui & Michelle. Pray for Gregory as he finds it hard to concentrate on studies and anxious over the SPM exam. Pray for YP members studying outstation eg Aaron Sam (Scotland), Audrey Sam (NZ), Teoh Kel Lee & Lim Hui Ling (Aust), John Yeoh (US), Leong Siaw May (S'pore) and Kit Hon (Skudai). Remember Chee Seong (UK) as he had just finished his exams and has gone to US to work for about 2-3 months: pray that God will protect him and give him wisdom to manage his money. Pray for Aaron Sam who will be having exams and hopefully be back in Malaysia for his two-month elective from 24 July to 28 Sept 99. Pray for Irwin Leong who has left for Melbourne, Australia for further studies. Pray that he can settle down to study and God will lead him in all his endeavours like joining a church fellowship, making friends, etc. Pray for complete healing for Jong Chiueh's eye after his recent operation.
10. Leong Kit Hon : Pray for him as he settles down and familiarise himself with other students in UTM Skudai.
11. Missionary : Pang Loo Yit (evangelism ministry in Macau) asks us to pray for two ladies ML & HY for good follow up and spiritual growth. She gives thanks to God for providing the funds to purchase an OMF office apartment.

OTHERS

2. Mr Chin : Pray for him as he is undergoing treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.
3. Leong Kai Keong : A lump has appeared on the right side of his neck / face where he had the cancerous cells removed in 1990. Pray that there will be miraculous healing that the lump will disappear.
4. Har Voong Pang : He emails : "As I am settling down with YWAM training in Perth, please pray that I could also minister to my fellow students and staff. Pray also that I may evangelise to the people here, especially those staying in my apartment. There is Fred (a retired man staying alone) who does not want to talk about religion and Mr Coy and family, Buddhist from Burma and speak very little English. So far, these are the two with whom I am building a relationship to share God's love with them. Please pray for them. Please pray for God's direction as to where He wants me to go after my training here. I need a lot of prayers here. Praise God that I am not as anxious anymore but shall wait upon Him. I am also concentrating on my training now, equipping myself to serve God anytime, anywhere, because when I am in the mission field, all I have to offer is myself. Please pray."
5. Leong Kit Hon : Pray for him as he settles down and familiarise himself with other students in UTM Skudai. Also that he will find (a) the right cell group in the university and (b) a church to attend on Sundays.

Condolence:         Chem's father passed away on Tuesday 3/8/99 in Kuantan. He was in his 70's when he suffered a heart attack.
