Special Prayers for medical patients Liew Jen Yoong – his lymph nodes at the neck are infected – pray for the diagnosis and effective treatment. Marie Low: Pray that she will enjoy good health as her condition has improved with the time period between the required blood transfusions lengthened from 3-4 to 7 weeks. Still looking for the butterfly needle for the pump. Lilian Anthony Boswell, 50: (Mrs Soo’s sister) Her sister is suffering from Lymphoma - cancer of the lymphatic system. She is married and has 1 son & 1 daughter. She is a Christian and physically active. Mr Ramesh Kumar (30+): Paralysed accident victim ministered to by Sam/Vela – he said the sinner’s prayer and hospitalized in the GH & Mr Nathan (40+): accident victim from Klang with a son (Std 3) & daughter (Std 6). Mr Balan (30+) - Sam’s Hindu colleague suffering from nose / neck cancer.

WMGC English Class - Pray for the increased number of children in the Sat English Class and the Sunday School. Pray for the three TAR / UKM students Sin Jet, Su Ye & Emily helping out in WMGC and for their spiritual growth.

Unsaved souls - 12 to be followed-up in outreach activities as follows; Betty Choo, Goo Sew Yong, Hiew Kei Keat & Siew Yoke Lan, Dineish a/l Arumugam, Harven a/l Arumugam, Khoo Sue Ann, Tan Ee Vern, Lim Poh Lee, Alicia Kok Jit Leng, Shim Hui Peng, Debbie Chan.

Give thanks for the salvation of Mrs Phang and Mr TK Wong (Tan Ah Lum’s friend). Both accepted Christ during our June Guest Service on 30 June 2001.

OA Ministry: Pray for Vela, Robert Chew & Hor Suet Fun serving in the OA work during alternate weekends.

Pray for the Career Talk on 25 Aug 2001, the OA Field Trip for the church in September and the DRAMA "Potrait of Grace" scheduled on 22 September 2001.

Har Voong Pang: (a) 4th Aug (Sat) Greetings from Maputo, Mozambique! Our team had been here for more than a week now. So far we have been involved with babies centre, hanging out with kids and getting to know them. We also did some ministry at the church in the dump area. (b) 10th Aug (Sat) Greetings from the YWAM base near Catumbela, Angola. The weather is cool and not cold as I expected. Most of all, the staff at this base is extremely friendly and helpful. the officials know that we are here and wanted us to do a public seminar. We were told that there are many not believers yet and this is a time to share God's love. Wow! Please pray that this will work out. Please pray for the second part of Psalm 46:10 to be fulfilled as my heart's greater desire is that God will be exalted in the nations and in the earth. Yesterday, the team helped in a feeding program which runs 4 times per week at the base here. We are also planning for a childrens' camp on Wednesday. Tomorrow the team will split into 2 groups to attend 2 churches and we could be called to preach or give testimony without notice.

Mrs Rose Ng (44) : Pray for her to stand witness to her husband who is a Buddhist but allows the two children – son Reuben (6) and daughter Kimberly to attend the MGC Sunday School.

Remember the two new believers led to Christ by Mrs Teoh – Ms Cheah San San (Mass Communication student) & Ms Kok Hui Fun (A-Level student).

New Tribes Mission – In June, gunmen kidnapped 2 NTM missionaries from a resort island in the southwestern Philippines. They are Martin and Gracia Burnham, a couple from Kansas, have been members of NTM since 1985, and have served in the Philippines since March 1986. Still no news until early August.

YP Ministry: Pray for YP members studying overseas / outstation who are Irwin Leong & Loh Yi Chuin (Aust), John Yeoh (US), Audrey Sam (NZ), Leong Siaw May (S’pore), Leong Kit Hon (Skudai) & Dr Aaron Sam (working in Monkland, Glassgow in Scotland). Remember Gregory Chew who has to attend Sunday morning classes and goes to another KL church for worship. Remember Soo Wen Jun & Cheah Wen Eu taking their SPM exams soon.

Pray for Adeline Sii and Vinodhini Shanmugam expecting their first babies either late Aug / early Sept.
